Idler Calculations

One of the corner stones of Melco's success is our ability to design product in accordance with specific applications and duties. Using in-house developed computer software, Melco considers all the parameters within which a specific conveyor operates, such as environment, belt tensions, misalignment, throughput, idler pitch etc, to ensure the correct sizing of roll shaft and bearing, and that the appropriate sealing system and frame design are utilised.

Melco offer the service of auditing existing installations to ensure that the current specifications are correct so that the most appropriate idler is used and the lowest Total Cost of Ownership achieved.
